Mardi Gras in NYC

Always wanted to go down to New Orleans and party it up for Mardi Gras? Well NYC created their version of Mardi Gras. Watch 2nd Ave. in Midtown Manhattan transform into NYC’s own Bourbon Street with the 15th Annual 2nd Avenue Mardi Gras Stroll, Saturday, Feb. 26th, 2011 from 1-9pm. There will be 7+ Midtown bars, $2 draft pints, $4 Authentic Hurricanes, shot specials, food specials, FREE Souvenir Pint Cup (first 500 registrants), tons of Mardi Gras beads and giveaways! Tickets are only $10 with 2 canned goods or $15 without. Come join the fun of the parties who bar hop, enjoy their drinks and “earn” those beards. 1. This event brings back soo many memories. I've staggered on Bourbon Street before and i thought that the feeling could never be imitated--but oh boy i was wrong. Not only did NY have that authentic feel to it, the ambiance felt exactly the same. But i guess when you are drunk, no one ever really notices anyway lol. Good Post!
